Founded in 1992 as a result of the Rio Summit in Brazil, RMC has been involved directly with Peace Child International by contributing to all its publications.

As well, RMC has sent delegates and volunteers to three major Congresses in Hawaii, Morocco and Scottland; youth editors to Switzerland & the UK, and members to various other international conferences.

Local RMC groups have been involved in many community environmental projects as well.

Rescue Mission Canada is working to develop closer ties with the other Rescue Mission and Peace Child offices around the world.
